Eric Schloesser grew up in Denver, Colorado, training and competing in all classical styles of dance since age 8. After earning the coveted national title of “Senior Male Best Dancer” at 18, he moved to LA to pursue dancing professionally.
He has since performed alongside Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, Billie Eilish, J Balvin, and more. In 2020, his self-choreographed performance in Jessie Ware’s “Step Into My Life” music video earned him a UKMVA nomination for Best Choreography. His career has also led him into fashion; he has partnered with Gucci as a content creator, walked in NYFW shows, and been featured in Vogue Italia for his avant-garde print work.
Eric has been a DFD company member since 2018. Upon first taking class from Dana at a convention in 2014, he began eagerly following her as a student; he was hired as a professional convention assistant in 2018, where he got the chance to assist her regularly, and thereafter was invited to join the company.
“I find myself constantly challenged and fulfilled by the work. It’s not only the quality of movement, but the integrity in every aspect of the work and the people involved that makes it so special. I hope to forever remain a learner — as Dana, Boy, and fellow company members exemplify so beautifully.”
