Raised in Denver, Colorado, Mia's formative training took place at Michelle Latimer Dance Academy. Following her high school graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in professional dancing.

Mia's connection with Dana began during her role as a demonstrator at the dance convention where Dana is on faculty. While assisting Dana during the convention, Mia found herself captivated by Dana's distinctive movement and found deep respect for Dana's teaching approach. In February of 2022, Mia enrolled in a DFD program, and it became evident that any space where the DFD company lived was  precisely where Mia aspired to be. This instinct has proven correct, as she has experienced immense growth as a dancer and individual after surrounding herself with Dana and the company at any chance she could for the past two years

Some noteworthy moments from Mia's time in LA include sharing the stage with the DFD company in Billie Eilish's 2022 Coachella performance and performing in Tracy Phillips' burlesque show, "On the Fringe."

Currently, Mia is assisting and learning from Dana on the Nuvo Dance Convention Tour and is ecstatic for continued growth as a new member of Dana Foglia Dance.
